Send Anywhere alternative

A Send Anywhere alternative built around privacy

Send Anywhere is a solid way to move files between devices with a short code. Fliko shares the temporary spirit but takes it further: the file is view-only and self-destructs, so nothing is left to copy.

If you like Send Anywhere, you already understand the appeal of temporary sharing: a quick code, a short window, no permanent account relationship. Fliko shares that instinct and is a natural alternative if your priority is privacy rather than raw device-to-device transfer.

Send Anywhere is built around moving files between devices, often with a 6-digit key and a short-lived link. It does that job well. Where Fliko goes further is in what happens to the file while it is open and after the window closes.

What Fliko adds on top of "temporary"

  • View-only mode. The recipient can open the file in a locked viewer with no download. On Android, screenshots and recording are blocked. On iPhone, captures blank out and you get an alert (Apple does not let any app fully block iOS screenshots, and we say so plainly).
  • On-device encryption. Standard files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they leave your phone, so our servers hold only the scrambled version.
  • Real deletion, not just an expired link. When the timer ends, the file is removed from our storage and backups. The link does not just stop pointing at a file; the file is gone.
  • The timer starts on first open, so a share never expires before the right person sees it.

Same easy handoff

You do not lose the simplicity. Share a link, let them scan a QR code, or read out a 6-digit code they type in at fliko.in. The recipient needs no app and no account.

When to pick which

For plain device-to-device transfers of non-sensitive files, a transfer app is fine. For anything you would not want sitting on the other device afterward, Fliko's view-only, self-destructing share is the safer default. Use the browser for quick shares (up to 250 MB, 10 files); use the app for larger files and longer timers.
